My lifelong passion for travel, and more recently my passion for rock climbing, has lead me to over 25 countries and influenced most of my decision making- in retrospect, maybe not always in the best way (but hey, being young is all about making mistakes right?.. right!?) Fresh out of college, with an undergraduate degree from Naropa University in Environmental Studies, I'm ambitious to pursue a lifestyle of travel, climbing and adventures for as long as possible.
With the support of my sponsors and the incredible global climbing community, I'm determined to ride this little dream of mine until my body (..or resources..) give up. I see climbing as a powerful vehicle for travel and a limitless medium for mental and physical challenge - which defines why I'm such an addict.
As I transition to and from my home base of Boulder, Colorado you can expect to see my name scribbled below high quality routes at the Boulder Rock Club, and I'll also be found coaching some sick strong youngsters with ABC and BRC junior teams. I created this site in the hopes that I could share a little inspiration and a few of my thoughts about the things I love, all the while encouraging the proper use of sick days and hopefully some hard sends! Please enjoy.

It's interesting how emotional rock climbing can be. Our display of strong emotions over a route is proof that there is indeed something more to it than just holds and chalk.
I've been doing quite a bit of climbing up at the Monastery near Estes Park recently. This has been one of my favorite cliffs for quite some time,
I've had such an overwhelming amount of support and psych pouring in from the community over the last few days, it would be downright wrong for me not to begin by saying thank you.
Setting goals is really quite a beautiful process. It's essentially a method of bringing our dreams into our reality.
Like I've mentioned before, one of the key ingredients to a project is investment.
To me, having a project denotes an extra special level of investment. A project must consist of a process- which invariably involves doubt, excitement, failure and hopefully success
Smith Rock continues to impress and inspire us. The landscape is phenomenal, the climbing is fantastic and the locals are simply rad.
..Enter life on the road.. we left Boulder last Thursday, bright and early, with eyes wide and psych level high. Our goal was to hammer out the long drive all the way to Bend, Oregon in a day.
First off.. BIG thanks to the community for coming out last night and making 'Colorado Burl Part 2' a huge success.
