Two Wyoming 5.14's for Cameron Hörst

The Hörst family, from Pennsylvania, has taken their annual pilgrimage west and are currently in Wyoming for the International Climber's Festival in Lander. In the span of just four days, Cameron (age 12) has already sent two 5.14a's. The first was Doomsday at Ten Sleep, a beautiful pocketed gray streak up a gently overhanging wall at the French Cattle Ranch sector. The family then traveled to Wild Iris where Cam made a fast ascent of the famous Todd Skinner route, Rodeo Free Europe on the Rodeo Wave wall. The route opens with a powerful lunge from an undercling mono on a 45-degree wall followed by continuous powerful pulls on monos and pockets. Back in town, Cam's younger brother Jon (age 9) participated in the all-for-fun pull-up competition and was reportedly able to crank out 41 pull-ups. Many other top-climbers are also in Lander for the festival and the conditions look promising for some more hard sends this weekend.
