Thirteen-year-old Stefan Lavender climbs well both indoors and out. As a member of Boulder’s Team ABC, he recently took 1st place at SCS Regionals at Stone Age Climbing (Albuquerque, NM) and 2nd place at SCS Divisionals at Movement (Boulder, CO) in the Youth B Boys category. Outdoors he did his first 13a only two years ago, his first 13b the year after that, and his first 13c just this past February. Then last week he visited Ten Sleep, Wyoming, and upped the ante a bit.

Over the course of six days (five climbing, one rest) Stefan managed to quickly climb five 5.13's including his first 5.13d, The Incredible Horse Cock and two more 5.13c's with The Hellion and Burden of My Member. He also did the first ascent of Shaker, a sporty 13b that had been bolted by Ten Sleep local Mike Snyder.
