Teva Mountain Games Announces the 2010 IFSC Bouldering World Cup

The Vail Valley Foundation announces the climbing events for the 9th annual Teva Mountain Games, the nation's largest outdoor adventure event, which will return to Vail, Colorado June 3 - 6, 2010. In addition to the amateur climbing competitions, Teva Mountain Games will host the IFSC Bouldering World Cup, the only World Cup event on U.S. soil.


Alongside the climbing events, this year's other sporting events include kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, road cycling, fly-fishing, stand up paddling, trail running and a half marathon. In addition to competitive adventure sports, the Teva Mountain Games also include a photography competition, interactive exhibition and demo area, DockDog canine competitions, the Serac Adventure Film School, an interactive family area, free concerts and mountain lifestyle parties.

A crowd favorite, this event features some of the best internationally-ranked climbers all climbing at the base of Vail mountain in the heart of Vail.

·CITIZEN BOULDERING COMPETITION Presented by Pyramide
The object is to complete climbing problems which require a serious blend of gymnastic ability, superb concentration and grip strength. With 32 graded problems to choose from, competitors are scored by their best 4 ascents.

·YOUTH BOULDERING COMPETITION Presented by Pyramide
This competition showcases up and coming climbers who are developing the future of this sport. Amateur youth competitions will show their talents in a fun and exciting bouldering format. The object is to complete problems, which require a serious blend of gymnastic ability, superb concentration and grip strength. With 32 graded problems to choose from, competitors are scored by their best 4 ascents. (Open to competitors born in 1991 or before.)
