The time is now to pre-register for Horse Pens 40's third annual Slope 'n Slide. In just two weeks, the Action Fund, along with presenting sponsors North Face and Alabama Outdoors, will roll out a 200 foot long slip 'n slide above the world famous boulders of Horse Pens 40. The wet and wild event is a great way to send off the sickly hot temps of summer and welcome in the climbing season! And it's for a good cause! All the money raised at the event goes straight back into the climbing community in the form of shiny new stainless steel hardware, improving the safety of everyone's experience at the crags.

The Action Funds mission statement:
Believing in the stewardship of climbers in their local areas, the Action Fund provides climbing hardware such as bolts, hangers, and anchors for the replacement of existing hardware, and for the development of new routes on public land. Therefore, those that choose to provide the service of route maintenance or development, for the benefit of the climbing community, do not have to be accountable for the cost of the hardware.
What has the Action Fund done so far?
The revenue generated allowed us to help equip local climbing areas like Little River Canyon, Sand Rock, Steele, and Griffin Falls in Alabama as well as T-wall, Deep Creek, Foster Falls, and Prentice Cooper in Tennessee.
