Visiting UK boulderer Shauna Coxsey has climbed the Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado classic Nuthin' but Sunshine (V13). This is the first female ascent of the problem and puts Shauna in the still very elite crew of women to have climbed the grade.
This time last year, Shauna was coming off of a 2nd place win at the Vail World Cup and stuck around for some hard sends in RMNP like Riddles in the Park and Mind Matters (both V12). Shortly after, she broke her leg in a routine fall at Magic Wood, Switzerland and was out of the World Cup for the remainder of the season. It was a simple break but even a year later, at this year's Vail World Cup, it was apparent that she was still guarding it and climbing lightly on the leg. Regardless, she took 4th place and once again, stuck around for some hard outdoor climbing in the Park. Keep an eye out for footage of the ascent but until then, here's a bit of video from Shauna's trip to the Park last year.
