After four years of on/off effort, Chris Sharma has completed his project, La Dura Dura (5.15c) at Oliana, Spain. When he clipped the chains on Saturday, March 23, Sharma became just the second person in the world to climb the grade of 5.15c.
Though the route was bolted by Chris, he left it as an open project that was first sent by Adam Ondra in February of this year. La Dura Dura became the world's second 5.15c after Ondra's Change at Flatanger Norway which he sent in the fall of 2012. Adam considered La Dura Dura to be a bit harder than Change, making it what is likely the hardest sport route in the world.
