Paul Robinson has climbed Jaws II (5.15a) at Rumney, New Hampshire. Paul’s ascent is the fifth since some holds broke making the original version (5.14b) much more difficult. In 2007 the new version saw its first ascent by Vasya Vorotnikov. It’s since been repeated by Daniel Woods, Mike Foley, and Andrew Palmer who sent the line just two weeks ago.
Robinson spent the past few weeks working on the line and ticked it in the nick of time, just before leaving New England. He writes on his 8a scorecard: Well this one sure was a process for me!!! the first boulder was my true epic and it took a while to get it sorted and then the top dead point got epic and I fell there 6 TIMES!!!! Today it clicked and it all came together... just in time too!”
