James Pearson has claimed the 2nd ascent, and first trad ascent, of A Denti Stretti (5.14a) at the Italian crag, La Balma. The crack climb was bolted in the early 90's and saw a first ascent by Alessandro Manini in 1995. It sat unrepeated for nearly 20 years before Pearson's ascent. James gave it a solid onsight effort, skipping all the bolts and falling at the final crux near the top of the route. After a few more days of effort he pulled off a surprise send, topping out in a light rain.
Pearson has written a nice blog post that discusses the history of La Balma and his experience on the route. Read it here.
