Mirko Caballero has redpointed Stop Sika at Rawyl, Switzerland, his first 8c/5.14b route. Now in the last few days of his European summer tour, Mirko opted to shift his focus from bouldering and try some route climbing. The strength training seems to have paid off; he completed the route in just four tries.
It's been a remarkable summer for the 12-year-old from California. He claimed his first 8b/5.13d flash with Slow Food at Céüse and also redpointed a 5.14a variation of the same route. He also sent his first 8b/V13 boulder with One Summer in Paradise at Magic Wood. Rounding out his tick list were four V12's, seven V11's and ten V9 flashes.
