On April 27th, Inner Peaks Climbing Center in Charlotte, North Carolina is hosting Rocks for Research, a rock climbing festival that will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation by raising funds for Type 1 Diabetes research. There will be FREE SWAG, door prizes, raffles, a silent auction, a vendor village, shoe demos, games and competitions, food, music, and obviously climbing!

Professional climbers Sasha Digiulian, Jimmy Webb, and Matt Bosley will be there offering clinics on training and tactics. Kurt Smith will DJ the event and Charlotte restaurateur Leroy Smith will be serving up Southern-style soul food.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the largest charitable supporter of T1D research. Type 1 Diabetes affects millions of people including pro climber Matt Bosley who will be at the event. Read Matt's remarkable story of coping with Diabetes in Issue 20 on page 18.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online at the Inner Peaks website. They also have more info on the event including the schedule, clinics, and classes offered.
