A desert plot, 45 minutes from town is hardly the place to establish a bed and breakfast, unless, that plot offers a classic adobe home overlooking one of the top winter climbing destinations, Hueco Tanks. Nestled just outside of El Paso, The Hacienda is the latest Hueco B&B that offers visitors a vast array of plush accommodations that can’t be found at any other accommodation in the area.

Situated less than a mile from Hueco Tanks, the beautiful adobe dueling offers visitors a comfortable desert escape to enjoy crisp mornings and cold night’s fireside. The B&B’s walls are made of thick adobe and the ceilings are sustained by heavy vaulted beams that give the house a classic feeling. Beautiful tiled floors, a large living space that includes a wood burning stove, plush couches and a large kitchen rounds out this premier lodging.
The Hacienda offers visitors 3 spacious private rooms that can accommodate 2-3 people. Each room offers a full-size bed, open closet space and a view of the Tanks. For those looking for light accommodations there is also a group/individual bunk room that can accommodate 6 people located at the south end of the structure which is great for those looking to enjoy interaction with new guests. Guests will share two sizeable bathrooms that are immaculate and offer a much needed warm shower at the end of a long climbing day.
Another feature that adds to the stay is a large kitchen and dining area that provides visitors with the chance to interact while cooking a warm meal. Counter space is plentiful and each visitor has access to refrigerators and cabinets to store food purchased in town.
The Hacienda is also run by two certified Hueco Guides and your stay will give you direct access to their services, however, tour rates do apply with each visit to the park and it is not included with the price of your stay. Check for tour availability before you visit. For those looking to travel light, Revolultion or V-Line crash pads are available for rent for a small daily fee. This will save you tying a pad down to your roof or being stuck with a $75 carry-on fee on your next flight.
Before your next visit to Hueco check out The Hacienda to book your lodging for the week. Rates and booking information can be found by visiting www.huecohacienda.com
