Issue 22 is live online! In this issue Adam Ondra speaks frankly about growing up, grades, the future of hard climbing, and his recent first ascent of the world's hardest sport climb, Change (5.15c). Abbey Smith and Andy Mann present captivating stories and images from their expedition to explore untouched boulders and peaks in Peru's Cordillera Blanca Range. Training expert Eric Hörst lays out a winter training plan that will have you stronger than ever by spring. Ashima Shiraishi speaks up about crushing the Red River Gorge and more.
11-year-old Ashima Shiraishi rolled into the Red River Gorge in mid-October of this year with the goal of climbing a 5.14a sport route. She accomplished that on her first day, flashed another 5.14a on her 2nd day and then sent two 5.14c routes before her one week trip was over. DPM cameras were rolling and captured a glimpse into the life and climbs of the world's best young climber. Click below to watch the short video of Ashima's trip to the Red River Gorge including footage of her climbing Southern Smoke and Lucifer (5.14c).
The video of Ashima is entirely free to all of our dedicated readers and marks the opening of the Stash for free. That's right, all DPM exclusive content is now free for everyone!
