Daniel Woods adds a New V13 Boulder to Hueco Tanks

Daniel Woods has established a new 8b(V13) to the left of Slashface. Dave Graham and Jon Cardwell had tried this boulder problem a couple of years ago with Cardwell succeeding on a V10 stand start.

 

The complete line was not sent until Daniel Woods, Jimmy Webb and Brion Voges checked it out on their tour of East Mountain. The problem took Daniel only two hours to piece together and has kicked off his seasonal migration to Hueco with a bang. Daniel called his new line Carol of the Bones. Hefelt the climb was harder than Terre de Sienne (V13) and Full Throttle (V13) but was conservative with the grade.

 

Southerner Jimmy Webb has also been tearing up Hueco in spite of a tendon injury. He recently sent Full Throttle (V13) and Coeurr de leon (V13) calling it “soft…might be more like V12”.
