Dan Beall: First Ascent of Misdirection (V14)

posted by dpm on 12/18/2011

Dan Beall has added another hard link-up to the crimp-peppered face of the Grandma Peabody boulder in Bishop, California’s Buttermilks.  Tim Wilkens describes the line on the Bishop Bouldering Blog: “Starting at Go Granny Go it links through holds on the Mystery and Directions, and finishes up by doing Thunderbird into Magnetic North.  His indication to me was that it felt significantly harder than Direct North (V14).”

Dan recently repeated Direct North which was previously the hardest line on the wall.  Video of that ascent can be seen here.  All photos of Dan on Misdirection courtesy of Dan Beall.
