Dai Koyamada Invades Swizzy

We haven’t heard from Dai in a while but he popped up in Switzerland and has quickly dispatched a handful of the areas iconic lines.

Dai has made quick work of Switzerland’s finest beginning with Toni Lamprecht's The Dagger, 8B+, on the first leg of his trip. It took him two days to piece together this problem. Later in the week he traveled from Cresciano to Chironico where he was able to flash Dr. Pinch 8a. After that he drove to Magic Wood to check off Bernd Zangerl’s New Base Line 8B+, a line he was able to put together after two solid burns. However, it should be noted that Dai had been to the area 6 years prior and had also worked the line during that trip.

To finish off his visit he polished off River Bed, a long 8B boulder problem that works out a roof utilizing some tricky heel toe sequences. Word is Dai has worked out all of the moves for Graham’s unrepeated The Story of Two Worlds 8c+, but he is unsure if he will have any time during the rest of his trip to come back to the line.
