As summer returns to Colorado, boulderers are heading back to the high country of Lincoln Lake after sneaking in a few more hard ascents in the Endo Valley. Flux for Life, Endo Valley’s brand new V13, saw four repeats by Daniel Woods, Jon Cardwell, Jimmy Webb and Brion Voges. Webb and Voges also managed to repeat Dave Graham’s Glow in the Dark Estrellas, a problem originally graded V14. New beta was found and they both have suggested V11 although Webb noted on 8a.nu that, “What Dave did was def V14.”

The snow line finally receded enough to return to the high country of Lincoln Lake’s Wolverine Land and some hard problems went down quickly. Jimmy Webb snagged the third ascent, after Graham and Woods, of We Can Build You (V14). Jimmy seems to be in top form, completing the line in a day’s work. He also ticked Evil Backwards (V13) and nearly flashed The Exfoliator (V12). Voges also climbed Evil Backwards. With such a strong start to the season in the high country it will be interesting to see what hard problems will be produced this year.
