Ashima Shiraishi has wrapped up the second leg of her European summer vacation in Magic Wood, Switzerland. While there she climbed a number of hard problems including: Pura Vida (V12), The Left Hand of Darkness (V12), The Right Hand of Darkness (V11), and Supersupernova (V11). Her big send of the trip was One Summer in Paradise, another V13 to add to her impressive tick list. Regarding One Summer in Paradise, Ashima said, "I know that many people have different opinions for this climb. For me, after working through a few different 8b's (V13's), I think that it is soft for a 8b boulder." She's now returning to the States for some climbing in Colorado.

Mirko Caballero also spent some time this summer in Magic Wood. He too ticked off One Summer in Paradise as well as Unendliche Geschichte 1 (V12), Massive Attack (V12), and five other V11's.
