Results are in from the bouldering world championship in Arco, Italy. According to the arco2011 website, the competition was fierce and exciting. In the end it was the Russian Dmitry Sharafutdinov standing on the podium for the men and, as expected by many, Anna Stöhr for the women. The Arco site has excellent write-ups on both the men's bouldering comp and the women's bouldering comp including the surprising tidbit that Sharafutdinov only trains on a 4'x8' campus board in his home! Certainly an interesting training method for the world champion.

On the American front, our own Sasha Digiulian took second place for the women and with lead climbing being her strong point, she is poised to take the overall combined victory. More about Sasha and the American ladies can be found in a nice blog post by Alex Johnson who, for the fifth time, placed 7th in semi-finals (the top 6 go to finals). Great job out there Team America!
