Sasha Digiulian has taken first at the European Youth Cup in Imst, Austria. On her blog she notes that the comp was held on the same wall that will be used for the Youth World Championships in two weeks. Having experience on the wall could give her the extra edge she needs to win that one as well, if she needs the extra edge... Sasha was the only one to complete the finals route at Imst stating that:
The route was about 60 moves long and a solid portion of it climbed through the steep head wall, so it required a lot of endurance. At the top of the route, after the steep headwall, the route got substantially harder with worse holds. I was very happy to stick the last powerful move to the finish.

Well done Sasha. Including her first place win at the World Championships, this is turning out to be a spectacular competition season for the young American star.
