Adam Ondra Repeats Monkey Wedding V15

A report just came in that Adam Ondra has grabbed the third ascent of Fred Nicole’s Monkey Wedding V15 in Rocklands, South Africa. Paul Robinson managed got the second ascent of the line two years ago and since then it has continued to contest several strong suitors until Ondra showed up.

After spending a large part of the year clipping the chains on the world’s hardest sport climbs, Ondra stated that he would be switching his focus to bouldering in the fall.  Apparently, he flipped that switch rather quickly as Adam has already managed to dispatch Fred Nicole’s other Rocklands’ test-piece Amandala V14, he flashed The Power of One V13, and sent Madiba V13 in two tries.

What is next on Ondra’s Rocklands’ tick-list? Perhaps Nalle’s Livin Large, which has yet to see a second ascent. We will have more details as his trip unfolds.
