Young German climber David Firnenburg has sent his second 5.14c. Last week in Margalef, Spain, David was able to clip the chains on Coma Sant Pere (5.14c). This year alone, David has managed to climb ten 5.14’s and nab his first 5.13d onsight. Despite his young age, David is no stranger to hard climbing having climbed 5.13d and onsighted 5.13a at the age of 12.
David’s younger brother is no slouch either. Yesterday the 13-year-old Ruben Firnenburg sent his first 5.14a. Terence Hill at Margalef is a 35-meter endurance route that finishes with a dyno. Ruben was able to finish it off shortly after sending the 5.13d Photo Shot, also at Margalef. Look for more big sends coming from the Firnenburg boys in the future.
