Just one week ago, training-for-climbing expert Eric Hörst and family loaded up the wagon and headed west for a month of climbing in Colorado and Wyoming. The first stop on the trip was Shelf Road, Colorado where 10-year-old Cameron tied in below Super Phrique (5.13a) and climbed to the chains first try for a pure onsight. Eric commented, "No preview, no beta. He just hiked the steep 3-bolt pocket route. I couldn't even dog through the powerful crux. Sick!" With a strong start to the trip we'll look for more from the Hörst family in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for a more in-depth story as well.
